Funders and Volunteers
As a charity we are always in need of and seeking funding and
donations large and small. If you are a business, charitable trust,
funding body or just looking for a worthwhile cause to whom you
wish to donate then please do contact us, we would be delighted
to hear from you. We would be happy to show you around the project
and introduce you to some of our beneficiaries. You will be able
to see for yourselves what a worthwhile charity we are.
We welcome donations of time, goods, equipment and the all important
money to help with large purchases and to secure salaries for the
staff at the project. Without them we can not function.
We gained charitable status in March 2005, since then we have benefited
over 800 people of different ages, abilities and backgrounds.

Volunteers
The project is fortunate enough to have a very proactive team of
volunteers providing expertise in accountancy, landscaping, tree
surgery, fencing and web site support as well as tea makers, cake
bakers, event organisers and several little helpers at our fund
raising events.
Cordelia Beardsmore Cordelia volunteers to help
with all our fund raising activities; But this was (excuse the pun)
one step beyond that. Cordelia signed up for the 100k in 24 hours
marathon walk from London to Brighton!
Taking her training seriously, Cordelia climbed
Shropshire's Wrekin Hill religiously every day, in fact the figures
went like this....she climbed it 22 times, in 22 days which equalled
66 miles, this works out at the same height
as Everest, gulp. The Walled Garden Project staff, family and friends
text Cordelia all through her 100k journey. After loosing a few
toe nails and being physically and mentally exhausted Cordelia completed
the marathon in 28hrs 54mins 46sec. Pretty damn good I say. Many
congratulations Cord 'YOU DID IT GIRL'. Raising over £2,000 for
The Walled Garden Project. What will she get up to next!
